South Dakota has a ton of entertainment. It wouldn’t take you long on a Saturday night to look up some where nearby by that has a band, show, karaoke or something going on. But there is a place that is pulling in national acts on a regular basis. Possibly even more then the Denny Sanford Center. This place is The District.

With amazing shows and acts coming in on a regular basis. This venue has become one of my personal favorites to see a band. So lets break them down a bit.

First off, The District has made it very easy to get tickets. You go to The District website at thedistrictsf.com. Look up what show you would like to go to. And purchase your ticket. Simple. I caution against getting tickets through secondary sites. This includes Ticketmaster. Since they will charge extra money to get your tickets.

Some shows that come to The District are for all ages. Which is nice if you want to take your teenager to see one of the act’s. Do check before you buy your tickets though. Some shows are age restricted. And could cause you some unneeded drama.

When you go to the show, they do take safety serious. They will do a quick check to make sure you left your bow and arrows at home. Joking aside, making sure people are safe is priority.

They do have a coat check if you need it when you first come in. And your ticket will determine where you go next. If you got a VIP ticket, you get to go to the balcony and get a bird’s eye view of the show. As well as a table if you want. For the general tickets, you have standing on the floor only. A lot of the shows at The District do sell out. So getting your tickets earlier than later is advised. Especially the balcony. The seating is very limited. Some shows do have meet and greet tickets you can buy as well.

There will be tables set up inside along the general admit floor where you can buy CD’s, posters, shirts and other merchandise. And depending on the act, some of the opening acts will even sign autographs, take pictures, or just say Hi.

Of course they have a fully stocked bar. Containing pretty much any beverage you prefer. Of course the prices are little high. This is to be some what expected though.

Where The District shines is the acts it gets in. From Skillet to Lita Ford. Night Ranger to Tanya Tucker. From Kane Brown to Tech-Nine. They have something for every one.

And the experience is amazing. There isn’t a bad spot to be in the building. You will get a bird’s eye view of the show. And be very up close and personal to the acts.

As I said, I have become a fan of going there. And the prices of these shows have been surprisingly cheap as well.

With a great line up of acts coming in. Affordable prices. Great atmosphere. And an unforgettable experience. I recommend you try The District. You’ll be glad you did.
